Creating Success in 2012: Finding Fulfillment in the New Year
by Rick Ojeda on February 1, 2012I understand the definition of crazy to be: ‘doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.’ For 2012, I am poised to jump off the hamster wheel, navigate my life in a new direction and break the cycle of unproductive patterns that have kept me in my crazy’s and start manifesting things that have greater purpose, fulfillment and positive experiences for me.
Where this all got ignited in me, was in one of our Partners Trust Accountability Series workshops given by our President Nick Segal. He asked a simple question…”what is your ideal client?” Well, that really got the wheels spinning. That idea that I am a powerful creator and that I have the ability to actually create experiences that I prefer versus those that I generally just accept as being dealt my way.
What’s the vehicle that creates success for me as a real estate agent? Clients! That’s it, I want to create the type of clients that I would prefer to do business with and who really appreciate the value I bring in my knowledge in real estate and my negotiating skills. So I created a list of words that reflected the type of experiences or character of a client that I too could stand behind.
Punctual, loyal, respectful, honest, accountable, qualified, integrity, enjoyable were some of the first to come to mind. There were some words that overlapped, some too restrictive, others to vague but finally I was able to create a simplified affirmation that I could recite from deep within. “I am attracting, loyal, qualified and gracious clients in great abundance and I enjoy being of service.” So this powerful statement is what you will find me reciting in my head over and over and what I use to qualify the type of relationships I choose to enter into…because being crazy is so 2011.
Would love to hear how others are creating success in their business and/or personal lives. Do you work to attract people who share your same values? Please share your ideas and leave your comments below.

A clear course of action and understanding/defining the steps that are integral to achieving success become the stepping stones to realizing the objective. Great job incorporating the technique for your advancement.
