Best of LA: Summer Edition
So, school ended 2 weeks ago and already my kids have done basketball camp, drama camp and a beach camp in the Palisades. I am still packing those sack lunches but things seem relaxed and I see my children out there enjoying this great city that we live in and taking advantage of all it has to offer. I remember summers of mowing my lawn, riding bikes in the neighborhood until my mom called my brother and I for dinner and swimming in the lake near our house on the East Coast. It was simple, fun and memorable. Although there is not the same large yard of grass to mow, I have noticed that my kids have not been into watch TV and have wanted to be more adventurous, try new things and have just really enjoyed these first few weeks of summer. We still have a few more camp adventures ahead and are headed to Santa Barbara to do exploring this holiday weekend and I have also started to look into other fun summer activities…did you know that you can river raft in Kernville which is just a hour or two away.
